Is there a way for us to run the Datadog containerized agent and collect logs from all our containers that are running on the host?
Tools like the Datadog agent cannot be used to gather logs from the container host or other containers. However, you can use a Log Drain to ship your logs to Datadog.
To create a Datadog Log Drain:
- Navigate to the Environment you want to collect logs from in the Aptible Dashboard
- Select the “Log Drains” tab
- Click “Create Log Drain”
- Select “Datadog” from the guided setup section
- Follow the instructions in the dialog to configure the drain according to your needs
